Monet’s Garden

On the way from Senlis to Normandy, we stopped in Giverny to see Monet’s house and gardens. We didn’t see much of the house, spending our time in the beautiful gardens. There’s more than just the water lilies, too. We were lucky that so many things were blooming when we were there.

This post is going to be mostly pictures. If you ever get the chance, definitely go. Be sure to get your tickets in advance and go early in the day. We went around 10 am and it was getting very crowded by the time we left a few hours later.

The Water Gardens

It was wonderful to see the water gardens in person after seeing the paintings at Musee de L’Orangerie. The waterlily garden at Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground, Georgia, is a nice homage, but much smaller than the original.

If you are in Northern France, I would consider Giverny a must-see.
